Journalist Request Platform Connectively Adds Agentic Scores Showing How Ready Each Publication Is for AI Agents
Across 906 publications, Domain Authority showed almost no relationship to agent readiness, so experts now see both before they answer a journalist's question.
Connectively, the journalist request platform owned and operated by Featured, now shows an Agentic Score, a 0 to 100 measure of how ready a website is for AI agents, next to Domain Authority and Domain Rating for the publications behind 98.6% of open questions. Publications with a Domain Authority of 70 or higher average 39.9. Publications below 20 average 36.9.
The score comes from Is Agentic, a free agent-readiness tool from Vercel, with scans run by Ora. It is scored against AgentReady.org, an open standard developed with Ora, Vercel, Stripe, Google, and others. Domain Authority, from Moz, and Domain Rating, from Ahrefs, measure link authority for traditional search. The Agentic Score measures something those two do not: whether a site allows AI agents in, serves its content without JavaScript or a login, and publishes the structure agents use to find and parse pages. Connectively refreshes all three scores every 15 days.
Connectively compared the scores across 906 publications and found that link authority does not predict agent readiness. The correlation between Domain Authority and Agentic Score is 0.08. Domain Authority and Domain Rating, by contrast, correlate with each other at 0.87. More than half of publications with a Domain Authority of 60 or higher score below 40 on agent readiness.
The Agentic Score completes Connectively's Verification Signals, launched in September. Journalists use Verification Signals to check an expert; experts can now check a publication the same way. The figures come from the Connectively Agent Readiness Report, November 2026, which scored 908 publications and excludes 44 publications owned by Featured.
Agent readiness is low across the web as well. On Ora's own ranking, which weights checks differently from the Is Agentic score Connectively displays, 127,521 scanned sites average 43 out of 100. Ora's study AX is the New AEO, which ran 37,927 agent journeys across 1,056 business sites, found that agents clearly recommended agent-ready businesses in 20% of answers, against 11% for the rest. That study measured businesses' own sites, not publishers.
What's New
- Agent readiness
A 0 to 100 score built from checks on whether a site blocks AI agents, whether its content is available without JavaScript or a login, whether redirects and error pages resolve cleanly, and whether it publishes a sitemap, structured data, and machine-readable metadata.
- Refresh
Every 15 days, so the score reflects recent changes to a publication's crawler rules or site architecture.
- Availability
Agentic Score is on every Connectively plan, including Free. Domain Authority and Domain Rating are included on Pro and Business plans.
- Where
On the Questions page, click the sliders button and tick Agentic Score, plus Domain Authority and Domain Rating on plans that include them. The columns sort on a click. The score also appears on each publication's public page on Connectively.
“”We expected to see a correlation between Domain Authority and AI readiness, but we found almost none (0.08). More than half of the publications with a Domain Authority of 60 or higher came back with AI readiness scores below 40. This means we've spent years sorting pitch lists by a number that doesn't show if AI agents can actually retrieve the page. Publishers already check experts on Connectively. Now experts can check the publications.
Access and availability: The Agentic Score is live for every Connectively user at no additional cost and is returned by the Connectively API. A step-by-step guide can be found at blog.connectively.us.
